A Princess and a Holy Nudge

As I prepared for a women’s event, I was praying about a new introduction for the event. That day something happened that I knew would be a great way to open the women’s event. Our newest grandchild Mercy has been sick for two weeks and it has not only been hard for her but hard for the whole family that loves her. As our Jessi shared details of the hard struggle, my heart just broke for Jessi and Mercy. As I was praying for the healing of Mercy’s little body, I boldly asked God for a “win” for Mercy and Jessi. I asked God for a “Wow Gift.” And God’s answer blessed not only Mercy, but her Momma and her Mimi. Here is what Papa God did for us.

There is an older woman who has been anonymously providing a scholarship for Mercy to attend a wonderful small private school. This woman did not know Mercy has been sick for two weeks. The day I cried out for a “WOW GIFT”, she was dropping a gift off at the school to be given to Mercy. The gift came with a note that said, “This gift is a reminder that you are God’s princess. And I look forward to introducing myself to you at the end of this school year.” The beautiful blue princess dress could not have been a better gift (Mercy smiling ear to ear in the picture below). What was so fantastic about the gift, is the woman did not know Mercy had been sick for two weeks. The woman simply listened to the Holy Nudge, the same nudge that led her to be anonymous donor for a scholarship for Mercy. So many blessings are available when we listen to the “Holy Nudge’” This woman not only blessed Mercy but she also had her Momma and Mimi shouting Praise to Papa God.

When I cried out for a “Wow Gift” for Mercy and Jessi, I was pondering this verse:

“I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers!” (Isaiah 65:24)
